dobro dosli
No, this isn’t lorem ipsum. It’s actually welcome in my language (Serbo-Croatian). I thought I’d start my first UX letter with some fun alliteration that makes me happy.
I’m finding myself creative and exploring new ideas and feeling really expressive. For most of my life I’ve been focused on staying within the gridlines and I’m grateful and excited to explore what lives outside of the box. Thus, my switch to product design. Did I know what I was getting into? I had no idea. But I knew I was so darn excited to explore. So this is one more way I’m going to explore, I’m going to write a blog post and see how I feel about it later. Maybe I’ll delete or maybe it’ll be a nice momento to my growth as a creator.
Right now I’m juggling my time between developing a brand for Valere Contracting, where I have free creative expression. So of course my brain is looking for inspiration and guidance as I observe my surroundings. I’m working on a Vancouver based startup volunteering my services with product design. I’m really excited to contribute to this mission and product yet I’m trying to find a way for my brain to narrow the designs and directions I want to go.
And… I’m looking for a full-time job, which isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Although the market is self-correcting, the community of people in tech is absolutely astounding and abundent with support. I know my perfect role will arrive shortly, and my designs will become concrete for the startup, and I will create a brand my client will really resonate with. It’s just about focus now; and what I’ve done (which feels and seems counter-intuitive) is create a new activity, which is writing. I watch a lot of videos on growth and writing is really recommended, and I’m welcoming the focus that it may bring.
So here’s to new beginnings, exploring life outside our comfort zones, and growing into stronger, wiser, and more skillful and brave versions of ourselves! Cheers!
